Yesterday Diocese of Springfield Bishop Thomas Paprocki testified against same-sex marriage before the Illinois state Senate. His testimony came just days after he was forced to put one of his own kinky priests on leave for calling 911 to get help to free himself from handcuffs and a mouth gag. (See that story HERE!)

All this talk about religious freedom, but what about religious freedom for the faiths that recognize and perform same-sex marriages? Don’t these groups have a right to religious freedom too? This is a change for Springfield, Illinois. It sure is a change from when Bishop Ryan was in charge. He didn’t really oppose same sex relationships. Must be confusing for some in that diocese.
How many altar boys and seminarians has this bishop had when he was a simple priest? Hmmmm? Those who shout the most and do things like this guy to ‘silence’ others are the most guilty. Maybe someone should investigate his background. I’m sure there’s something hidden there.
